Love Lemons Smoothie

This simple, sweet and blood sugar balancing smoothie will set you up for a satisfied morning.  With just 5 ingredients and a perfect balance of protein, fat and fibre, you can whip this up daily and double batch to make mornings even easier.  Add a handful of spinach to boost your nutrients further.  The juice of a lemon is the most accessible natural source of Vitamin C, which is necessary for collagen conversion.  Say hello to this anti-aging superstar!

Total: 5 minutes
Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups nut milk
  • 1 serving vanilla collagen or protein powder
  • 1-2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1-2 tbsp chia seeds
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Optional: one Medjool date, pitted

Process:

  1. Add all ingredients and blend for 1 minute or until desired consistency achieved.
  2. Add mylk and/or ice as desired.
  3. Serve in a glass and enjoy!
